- Learn Skills That Will Last For A Lifetime
- Our goal is to provide the best education and training for each student while encouraging achievement, productivity, self-reliance and positive work attitudes in all students. Working together, we can create an atmosphere where all students develop a life-long love of learning and experience the joy that comes with personal achievement. - Home Living
- Learn life skills that will benefit you the rest of your life. Life skills that students learn in the home economics program include cooking, measurement, crafts, ceramics, personal care, home management, and parenting skills.
- Cabinetmaking
- Are you interested in learning to build things out of wood? If so, enroll in cabinetmaking and learn proper cabinetmaking skills.
- Carpentry
- Do you like to work outdoors? Would you like to be self-employed? Learn the techniques of carpentry and become employed in a building career.
- Automotive Service Technology
- Explore the computerized technology of today's auto service. Become a certified auto technician and work in the automotive industry.
- Welding Technology
- Do you enjoy working with metal? Do you like to build things? Discover the technology of welding and consider a career in welding and robotics.
- Keyboarding
- Would you like to learn a skill that you will use the rest of your life? Keyboarding will be very helpful to you in college and your career.
- Co-op
- Attention Seniors: Would you like to earn money during your senior year? If so, become employed in a job related to your career/technical training. Co-op students take their required courses at their home school and work part time.
- Business Education
- Explore the business world and prepare for the following job opportunities: Computer Operator, Office Manager, Research/Information Specialist, Programmer, Personnel Manager, Systems Manager, Systems Analyst, Administrative Support, Accounting Clerk, Computer Tutor, Typist, Payroll Clerk, Software Tech-Writer, Computer Repair Technician, and Computer Sales & Service. Students must take four business classes to complete the program. Students are required to take keyboarding, word processing, and administrative office management. Students can take either Microsoft office or accounting.
- Health Care Science Technology
- Are you interested in working in the health care field? Explore health care careers, learn health care skills, and participate in clinicals. Health Care Science Technology students learn about the following health careers: Dental Assistant, Dental Lab Technician, Emergency Medical Technician, Radiologic Technician and X-ray, Respiratory Therapy Technician, Surgery Technician, Community Health Worker, Home Health Aide, Medical Assistant, Health Aide, Nursing Assistant, Ophthalmic Service, Physical Therapy, and Registered Nurse.
- Child Care and Elder Services
- Do you like working with children or elderly people? Do you want to learn appropriate parenting principles? Job opportunities in Child Care are found in Child Day Care Centers, Nursery Schools, Kindergartens, Medical and Clinical Centers, Head Start Programs, Businesses and Industrial Child Care Centers, Elementary Schools, Babysitting Services, Foster Home or Family Day Care, Camp, Nursing Homes, Assisted Living Centers, and Recreational Areas.
- Cosmetology
- Would you like to learn about the scientific study of beauty culture with instruction in the care and beautification of the hair, skin, and nails? Explore the following careers: cosmetologist, nail technician, barbering, sales, or lab research.
- Collision Repair Technology
- Are you interested in painting vehicles, repairing wrecked vehicles, realigning front frames, and customizing your car/truck? If you are interested in learning these skills, check out the techniques of Collision Repair Technology
- Horticulture
- Do you have a green thumb? Enroll in Horticulture and learn to grow and care for plants. Instruction in the Horticulture program includes measurements, fertilization, spraying, cutting, and potting plants.
- Principles of Technology
- Principles of Technology is a hands-on physics class. Study the theory and see how it works. Principles of Technology I includes the study of force, work, rate, resistance, energy, power, and force transformers, Principles of Technology II includes the study of waves, vibrations, energy converters, transducers, radiation, optical systems, time constants, and momentum.

Spring Garden High School
Students in grades 9-12 may attend the Cherokee County Career and Technology Center. Enrollment depends on space being available in the program you request. See your counselor to register for a program at the Cherokee County Career and Technology Center.
- How Much Does It Cost?
- Fees are required in every program at the Cherokee County Career and Technology Center. Fees are used to pay for the supplies and materials used by the students. See the Cherokee County Board of Education Student Handbook Code of Student Conduct for fee amounts.
- How Are Classes Scheduled?
- Most of the classes are scheduled for one or more blocks. One unit of credit is offered for each block scheduled.
- How Do I Get To Cherokee County Career and Technology Center?
- Bus transportation is furnished by all of the county schools served.
