Mission Statement:
We, the faculty of Gaylesville School, believe the mission of public education is to provide physical, mental and social situations through which each student may learn to live and work effectively. The overall mission of Gaylesville School is to educate each child to his fullest potential. We feel that the school must provide each student with the opportunity and the environment necessary to develop the basic skills, abilities, interests and ideals so that he may perform successfully in a rapidly changing world.

Alabama Reading Initiative Demonstration Site:
Our school were selected to be one of the 2001-2002 Alabama Reading Initiative demonstration sites.Teachers went through intensive training during the summer of 2001. The training is an ongoing experience.

Campus:
Includes a main classroom building, vocational building, cafeteria, gymnasium, football stadium, and baseball/softball fields, five new classrooms, and a new science lab.

Support:
We have a great PTSO that offers much needed support, equipment and backing for our school.
Our Booster club is a hardworking support for our athletes.

Elementary Extras:
Newly erected Elementary Outdoor Classroom- funded, created and maintained by the Fifth Grade (2002-2003)students.

GEMS- Elementary Music Program- The upper elementary grades participate in music theory, appreciation, and practice.

High School Highlights:
School and Community Newspaper: GAYLESVILLE ENTERPRISE.

Variety of clubs including active FFA and FCCLA chapters, National Beta Club chapter, 4H club, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Math and Science.
