At Cedar Bluff, She sponsors STARS, an at-risk program, and Teen Involvement, where high school students teach elementary students about the dangers of alcohol and drugs along with positive aspects of that aide in being successful in school.
Philosophy of Education:
"I chose education because I see it as a way to help shape a child's future and help that child grow into a successful adult. I remember the impact that all of my teachers had on my life. I especially remember those who put forth that extra effort and time to help me with things. I believe that teachers have the best opportunity to help shape and form a child. This includes teachers making a difference in partnership with parents." Mrs. Clifton believes that little change has taken place from when she was a student: "I know that when I was in high school, many of the problems and issues were the same as they are not. The big difference I've noticed is the use of technology." |
