Philosophy of Education:
"Being a part of a child's education is one of the greatest privileges and also one of the greatest responsibilities a person can have. Each day a child is in my classroom is shaping that student's future and having an impact on their lives. We never know what small incident will be a turning point in their lives either for their benefit or something that will send them in the wrong direction. That is why I believe that each child should be given an inviting and encouraging atmosphere in which to succeed. Every child learns and comprehends in different ways and at different rates, but all students can have success and have a feeling of accomplishment. I believe in educating the entire child: socially, academically, spiritually and physically. Each part of a student's life is important and can positively or negatively affect their school performance. That is why as teachers, we have to make a personal connection with our students to ensure their success in the classroom and in society. " |

Philosophy of Education:
"I went into education because I love children. Several people influenced me when I was in school. They encouraged me to go into the education field. I will always be thankful to them for having faith in me. They are Mr. Jimmy Dean and Ms. Louise Green. I am also thankful for my family that stood behind me and helped me through college. Teachers today are more understanding than teachers used to be. Teachers today realize that a lot of different things come into a child's life today. I believe the teachers I had were more strict when I was in school than we are today. I feel it takes a joint effort between home and school to provide everything a young person needs today. I think that more parents need to be involved with their child's education by asking the teacher questions about their child's progress. I would like to see as many parents at PTO meetings as at football, basketball, softball, or any other sporting event. Don't misunderstand me. I also love sports but I also want my child to excel in academics as well. As a teacher, I see students with involved parents are excellent students and exceed in academics. My philosophy is all students have the potential to learn. You just have to find their strengths and their weaknesses and help them as much as you can to be achievers and productive citizens."
