    SPECIAL EVENTS

    The media center hopes to motivate children to read. We use the reading program Accelerated Reading. Students read their book and then take an AR quiz to measure comprehension and earn AR points.

    We have numerous activities through out the school year!

    • AR Centurion Club for students earning 100 pts. or more.
    • AR field trip
    • AR store
    • Read Across America Celebration on or near March 2
    • Alabama Emphasis on Reading Participant
    • King and Queen of Reading Recognition
    • Six Flags Read to Succeed Participant

    ??? Frequently Asked Questions ???

    1. What time is the library open? 7:30 am - 2:50 pm with an open schedule. Scheduled story time for kindergarten, first and second grade.
    2. How many books can we check out? Usually 1, however, for research, reports, etc. more may be checked out.
    3. Can we take AR quizzes in the library? Yes but it is recommended to take quiz in your classroom.
    4. How many books are in the library? Over 16,000!
