Title I

The mission of Centre Elementary School, in collaboration with staff, students, parents, and community, is to effectively prepare students to become positive, contributing members of society by allowing them to create, communicate, inquire, work cooperatively with others, and use critical thinking and reasoning skills. We will achieve our objective by promoting the personal, social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth of each individual student to be assimilated into a diverse, technologically oriented society through improved school climate and discipline. We believe that all children can learn, are unique, have worth, and that education is a worthwhile endeavor. We believe that achievement should be the constant, and time the variable.

Vision Statement

CES will be the instrument of inquiry, discovery, and exploration that will adjust to each child's rate of growth and unique pattern of learning. We shall have fundamentally sound teaching practices by highly motivated professionals that will conduct endless searches for the most innovative, effective, and appropriate materials, instructional strategies and curriculums. The community will serve as our laboratory to teach our children about our way of life. The students of CES will learn in a safe, secure, and nurturing child-centered environment that emphasizes respect for all. We shall foster lifelong skills to prepare our students for success in an ever-changing global society.
