Personal Bio
Mrs. Williams is the mother of three children, Jonna, Matt, and Will. She began her teaching career at Sand Rock School in 1982. After teaching elementary grades for many years, she became the assistant principal at Sand Rock School and served in that capacity for three years before coming to Centre Middle School as administrator in 1999.
Mrs. Williams graduated from Cherokee County High School in 1974 and enlisted in the United States Air Force where she was a maintenance analyst in a helicopter rescue squadron. After leaving the Air Force, she graduated with honors with a B.S. degree in Elementary Education from Jacksonville State University in 1981. While teaching at Sand Rock School, she received her Master's Degree in Elementary Education and her certification in Educational Administration from the University of Alabama.
Mrs. Williams is a member of NEA, AEA, CCEA, CLAS, and AMLA. She is an active member of Centre First Baptist Church and enjoys participating in church music. Recently married to a wonderful man, she enjoys spending time with her family. Grandaughter, Madie, also keeps her busy. Other hobbies include listening to music, traveling, and reading. She also enjoys her Toy Rat Terrier, Libby!
Mrs. Williams believes that middle school is where she belongs. These are unique students and she feels a true connection with this constantly changing adolescent group.
