Digital Citizenship Week – September 18-22, 2017

September 20th, 2017

One part of our weekly emphasis is the pitfalls and skills required to be a part of an online community. Actions have consequences. Poor online manners, or “netiquette”, can reflect badly on one. Sharing too much information can be dangerous. Users of social networking sites must know and understand security and privacy options within the site. It is important for parents to be aware of social networking issues and to help guide their children. Students in Cherokee County Schools will explore age-appropriate material to learn more about being in online social community.
