My Bio
|
My name is Wes Neyman. I was
born and raised in Cherokee County, Alabama. My family consists of my
parents, Danny and Dewandee Neyman, and my brother, Seth Neyman. I spent my
first six years living in Centre before moving to the Tucker’s Chapel
community near Sand Rock, Alabama. It was here that my dad started his
poultry and cattle farm so as to ensure my brother and I had plenty to do on
the weekends. I attended Centre schools where my mother taught the second
grade for 31 years. In 1996, I graduated from Cherokee County High School
and moved to Jacksonville, Alabama, where I attended Jacksonville State
University. It was here that I met my wife, Christa Rhinehart (SGHS c/o 95).
She first brought me to “the Garden” and I have felt at home since. We were
married after college and moved to Centre. I began teaching at Pepperell
Middle School in Lindale, Georgia and she continued her education at UAB.
While teaching, I completed a Master of Arts degree from the University of
Alabama and an Educational Specialist degree from Lincoln Memorial
University. After five years of early rising and the birth of our son,
Jackson, I was hired as the assistant principal at Spring Garden. I have
felt at home since the beginning and feel truly privileged to be working
here today. We have a great faculty and support staff and together they help
make the Garden one of the top schools in the state!
