Technology for Every Classroom:
Tools for Success

Tools for Success is a workshop sponsored through the Alabama Department of Education Technology Initiatives Division. Have you ever asked yourself any of these questions?

What are the best practices for using technology to enhance teaching?

What are the skills I need to incorporate technology in daily classroom activities?

What are some activities and project assignments I can use to accomplish teaching objectives through the use of technology?

How can I effectively implement the Technology Education Course of Study in my classroom?

What is a Web Quest? How can it be used in my teaching?
How can I earn 60 contact hours of professional development credit?

Technology for Every Classroom: Tools for Success is a 24-week (optional 12 week) online workshop that includes online readings, Internet resources, hands-on activities, and focused grade level and whole group discussions in a collaborative learning environment.

Participants in this course represent all subjects, grade levels, schools, and past experience. An important aspect of this course is using this diversity to create a supportive learning community. Less experienced participants should not be intimidated by the knowledge and experience of others, but should benefit from the collective wisdom of the group. More experienced participants should welcome the opportunity to practice your chosen profession - teaching.
