  High School Compass Getting Started Guide for v2011
  Includes quick steps for the most basic functions to get started in Compass v2011 (New features, how to add students to classes, etc.). Contact Rhonda Clark (rclark @ cherokeek12.org) for additional help.
• EasyTech
  Grade level technology assignments for students. Each teacher in grades K-8 has a login. Contact Rhonda Clark (rclark @ cherokeek12.org) for login/use information.
• APT Plus Media Services (Learn 360) – IMPORTANT
  This program is replacing Discovery Education Streaming. There are numerous videos available through the program. Teachers should start planning for a transition to this program now for a switch in Summer 2011.
• Discovery Education Streaming - IMPORTANT
  Available through the 2010-2011 school year. In Summer 2011 our license will expire. Teachers should begin to use APT Plus Learn 360 for a smooth transition.
• Renaissance Place
  Accelerated Reading, STAR, and other Renaissance programs.
• Alabama Virtual Library
  The Alabama Virtual Library provides all students, teachers, and citizens of the State of Alabama with online access to essential library and information resources. It is primarily a group of online databases that have magazine, journal, and newspaper articles for research.

  Content to supplement the K-6 reading series.
• Smart Technologies
  Training and resources for using SMART interactive technologies in the classroom.

  Make your course an online course that is available though the Internet for students.

Internet Safety
The Children’s Advocacy Center conducts Internet Safety presentations using NetSmartz materials in all K-8 classrooms for Cherokee County Schools.  Teachers may access the NetSmartz lessons and activities as well as other Internet safety sites below for use with their students.
