21st Century Grant

Centre Middle School and Gaylesville School will be applying for the renewal of the competitive 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) After-School Grant.
This federally funded grant supports extended learning opportunities for students beyond the regular school day. Through the 21st CCLC program, students receive academic support in core subject areas, enrichment activities, STEM experiences, tutoring, homework assistance, and opportunities for family engagement.
The renewal application will allow both schools to continue providing high-quality after-school programming designed to improve student achievement, strengthen academic performance, and offer a safe, structured environment during non-school hours.
The Cherokee County Board of Education looks forward to continuing this valuable opportunity for our students and families.

Attendance Counts!

Did you know that students are considered "chronically absent" if they miss 18 or more days of school in one school year, even if the absences are excused? Our schools are graded on a statewide report card, and one of the grading categories is attendance. You may check your child's number of absences in the PowerSchool Parent Portal anytime. Please email admin@cherokeek12.org if you need your login information for the parent portal.
