Cherokee County Schools Mission & Vision

OUR MISSION

Educate, Inspire, Empower

OUR VISION

The Cherokee County School System will provide a safe and supportive environment where students can develop the intellectual, social, emotional, and physical skills necessary to be ready for the future.

PowerSchool Data Breach

Our student information system vendor, PowerSchool, recently suffered a data breach. While our district was affected, no Social Security Numbers for students or staff were compromised, as we no longer store that information in PowerSchool SIS.
PowerSchool will communicate with parents regarding any impact on student data.
Please contact your school or email admin@cherokeek12.org if you have any questions.

Attendance Counts!

Did you know that students are considered "chronically absent" if they miss 18 or more days of school in one school year, even if the absences are excused? Our schools are graded on a statewide report card, and one of the grading categories is attendance. You may check your child's number of absences in the PowerSchool Parent Portal anytime. Please email admin@cherokeek12.org if you need your login information for the parent portal.
